introducing charisma dance and Linda joy keen

The human soul craves beauty: inside each of us is a kernel of longing for something we can't describe. This is what attracts people to Charisma Dance - our work is always generated to connect with the spirit.

Dance is so much more than energetic movement and sexy bodies and Charisma Dance seeks to open peoples' awareness to all that dance can be. The company works primarily in contemporary dance styles*. Contemporary dance as used by Charisma is a vehicle for expressing great emotion, for projecting delicate atmospheres and for evoking stories the audience can relate to.

* contemporary dance is a genre of movement requiring great strength and refined physical awareness, which grew from the backlash against the very prescribed style of classical ballet.
